Teaching

Throughout my PhD and now as tenured assistant professor at Leiden University, I combine my research with many teaching responsibilities. I coordinate and teach master level courses such as Evidence Based Cognitive Enhancement, and I have developed from scratch, coordinate, and teach a research master course on Neuromodulation of Cognition. I also serve on the Psychology Master’s Programme Committee (“Master Opleidingscommissie”), where I contribute to the continuous monitoring and adjustment of the education programme. Furthermore, I provide daily supervision to PhD candidate Roel van Dooren as we work on his dissertation investigating the influence of context on cognitive control.

These various activities allow me to stay up-to-date on and disseminate cutting-edge developments in applied and fundamental cognitive psychology as well as (computational) neuroscience.
